Training
Conexión 10/40 offers an English Immersion Experience for Latin American missionaries en route to the mission field or returning to Latin America for their furlough assignment. This Immersion experience requires that the missionary have a valid U.S. visa, either tourist or transit. This is not a formal program, but instead a practical guide to help the missionary the following aspects of their training and improvement:
Second Language Acquisition and English Immersion:
This proven process of Second Language Acquisition and Language Coaching is adapted to the Latin American worldview. The process of language learning students will be applied to what they learn while practicing English. Upon reaching their target country students will be equipped to learn the language of the unreached people group as well as coach other new language learners in the process. Students will become increasingly more independent in their language learning. Mentoring and coaching are modeled as part of this student-driven language learning program.
